The challenge with this was using equations with integer solutions which weren’t immediately obvious just looking at the equation. Didn’t want 3x+1=7 for example. So ended up using lots of pretty challenging equations with unknown on both sides and negative solutions.

Someone commented on my infectious giggle in my department yesterday. I replied ‘at least I bring something to the department’. They replied ‘that’s not the only thing, also the TL maths textbook’.

I always enjoyed my lecturer writing QED at the end of some horrendous proof and saying ‘quite easily done’ with a smug look on his face.
