The replies saying 'the solution is immigration!' aren't wrong. But I'm uneasy about the transactional attitude to migrants this betrays. It's the idea that some populations (e.g. the US, Europe) exist to be serviced and migrants from the majority world exist to service us.

We have to avoid the hetero/reproductive futurist traps (even in their 'progressive' guises) and imagine families much more expansively.
