A statement regarding Unbound/Boundless.
Last week Unbound was scheduled to refund 8k of pledge money to people that had supported my book 'Singing Up the Sun'. Last week Unbound went into administration. Today I discovered the money won't be refunded. I'm mortified about the situation. I recommend you attempt to get refunds directly through your banks, credit card providers and Paypal etc. People are having some success with this approach. In the process of administration Unbound are rebranding as Boundless and sidestepping their debts to carry on business as usual. There are hundreds of authors who haven't been paid in over a year and now thousands of backers of book projects who won't be refunded. The whole thing is grotesque. I had hoped to take the project elsewhere but I'm starting with an 8k deficit of support and feeling reasonably broken about the entire shit show. For what it's worth I'm massively grateful for all the support and kind words I've received along the way. Thank you. x

And the plate for those of you that HATE moving visuals.
Lino plate of an illustrated harpy.

‘Harpy’ linocut print.

I wanted to combine the woodcut style of Aldrovandi’s harpy with the Yubaba bird from Spirited Away. SO I DID.

Ouch…! Tbf this is an antiquated no frills cinema in a seaside town. I buy a beer to support them, not because I enjoy a bottle of San Miguel…!

Everyday is a cheap one at the Westgate cinema. Paid £5.45 for a fancy seat…!

Great film too!

I didn’t have a great week… two Spurs defenders was always a silly move.

Yeah that kind of thing! I’m a bit off buying endless records off the internet these days.
matpringle.bsky.social
When I say cheap I mean like £5-£10 in my local record shop…! But thanks. I’ll have another listen this week.

Need to revisit that. I recalled loving it at the time but never found a cheap copy to call my own.
