I think, & I can't stress how stupid it is, that the belief is that the AI god is inevitable (or at least that seems like a necessary presumption). Therefore, an AI god will punish those who didn't work (enough?) to bring it about. Not clear why an AI god would care about who helped or didn’t help.

This is the reason I have an undergrad degree in Government, and not political science. My dept fundamentally viewed it as a specialized philosophy discipline and that politics could not be reduced to a science.
