It has been so nice to spend the last 4 months with family ❤️ I was so unprepared for the deluge of love I'd feel for Skyler and how it would change my relationship with Daniel (and myself, tbh). There are so many changes with parenthood that I didn't expect, and they've been so intense.

The transition from having your baby be part of you to having them be a little human that's dependent on you but not safe inside you is so strange. I didn't expect it to feel so lonely and I didn't expect to feel this protective or determined, but here we are.

Daniel lubed pretty much all of his switches (I just did a few to show him how) and now they’re in and match the pretty copper plate no one will see

This is what I've been preparing for Skyler. The dresser we want needs to be restocked still but it'll go on the wall where the blue tape is and the swing will go downstairs. Changing table will be on the dresser after it arrives, but the table topper is in one of the closets ready to go ☺️
