When Trump goes, I think it may _look_ like we voted our way out of it, but only because on the ground opposition makes it clear that people on the ground will throw him out or people in fact _do_ chase him out after either an electoral loss or an impeachment and removal trial.

[Talking about food]

At a very basic level it bothers me that I have had very good vegan food at Food Not Bombs, from Mediterranean restaurants, and from Indian restaurants, but I've never had vegan food from an explicitly vegan restaurant that I have liked. What's with that?

It's so dang cold. Doge did not know what they were bringing down upon us when they fired the secret society of meteorologists at NOAA who control the weather.

I later attempted this and the answer is. Sometimes the air is basically fine. Other times you're in the absolute red zone of air quality for several minutes. Without an air quality meter you won't know when you're in which.
If someone were to say, but you don't sit in a garage with a running car for hours, that air quality meter has a battery, so now I'm curious just how bad air inside a car on a mostly highway commute actually is.

Around the 37 minute mark, the idea of replacing all ethanol corn production with grid solar resulting in more power than is currently on the US grid is wild.
Not what I expected from Technology Connections, but sounds about right.

The bills going after 3D printed guns are primarily in response to a health insurance CEO being killed for systematically causing death and suffering. This proves politicians would rather performatively hamstring technology than fix death and suffering from our health insurance system. #uspol

I read through the _Cooking with Wild Game_ #manga on #crunchyroll Manga and my advice to anyone else is, don't. The writing consistently doesn't make sense and tends to just stop caring about things that are previously major points for no reason. The artwork isn't anything exceptional.

The old man part of me is happy seeing goon in its pre-COVID usage. All other parts of me just wish the goons would go home and be permanently barred from all public offices and wealth in excess of a modest house and a modest pension.

Oh, the national level of the Democratic Party is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Against fascists.

Again.

I want to 3D print things, but the nozzle on the printer is clogged and the printer is in the garage and the garage is unreasonably fucking cold.

Today, I feel like I _will_ outlive this corrupt regime. There's a major part of me that wonders what will happen next. Will we have more milquetoast liberals unwilling to solve the problems that lead us to fascism in the first place? Their response to the ICE shootings shows that […]

"Give the deputized fascist paramilitaries more training" is utter absurdity. The whole thing with Trump term two is discarding the mask, but I didn't expect the Democrats to also discard _their_ mask.

[uspol, no fuck you liberals, yes I got over it and voted for Harris anyway]

Ah yes, if leftists didn't vote for Harris it's because they're categorically racist and/or sexist, not for any of the reasons that they said they weren't going to vote for white man Biden before he dropped out that […]

All you #3dprinting folks, I've been printing ABS on a glass bed with glue stick for a few weeks and I'm finding that fresh glue stick doesn't work, but well dried glue stick seems to go great. What have your experiences been with printing ABS on glass?

Watched #starfleetacademy ep 3. I don't like it as much because the core plot of school rivalry is overdone in TV generally. But, it takes the idea and imagines how that manifests in the Star Trek universe, and that's fun.

[uspol, worldpol, class war]

There are some posters who seem pretty gung-ho about excluding US folks from their country. Is your country's ruling class going to be excluding the US oligarchs too or do hardened borders just apply to regular people?

And I get it, there are a lot of fuckers in […]

I bought an air quality meter for my garage to monitor fumes from my 3D printers. The printers don't make it even budge with ABS, but pulling a car in and immediately shutting the car off makes it beep, like "get out of here you maniac" for about ten minutes. So that's quite a statement on IC […]

I watched #startrekstarfleetacademy and it actually was pretty fun. Yeah, it's a different setting drawing upon #startrekdiscovery lore. I couldn't get through that show, though, so I may give that another try. Episode 2 especially did a good job of working with similar themes in parallel plots […]

I'm looking at how things look transferred over bridgy fed to Bluesky and ... while brevity is the soul of wit, I still prefer the high character limit here.

_Star Trek_ , even back to TOS, provides warnings against AI that we should still take to heart. The fact that AI can take and amplify people's own failings and amplify them to disastrous effects is an appropriate warning to some current issues with AI.

Although, the more direct interpretation […]

I struggled with printing anything with ABS all day yesterday and before going to bed I started a print as just one last try and it came out flawlessly in the morning ... then I figured out that piece isn't going to work.

I keep seeing posts around this statement and my immediate thought is that, of course he'd say that, he owns a cloud computing company.

Then I see more responses that this is an attempt to bring things back to centralized mainframe days.

I'm a self-hosting kind of guy. Self-hosting is […]
