The timegating tied to leveling up mounts, the way you have to level up each individual mount to be able to use it to mine, dig, water crops, etc., not to mention that tasks are easier to complete off your mount.

It's not flawless, but you have a Dreamlight Valley profile photo so you're not exactly unbiased.

My experience with Wishblossom Ranch says otherwise. Such a cheap feeling DLC.
