went to london to see my bloody valentine and i took my camera along (although i had to leave it in a Stasher thing in a premier inn whilst the concert was ongoing and that felt a little sketchy but was ultimately fine)

had an estimate to look at in hillsborough mid-afternoon so took a walk down the rivelin after. really lovely. #sheffield #photography
a photo taken down the rivelin river. there are some rocks in the stream and the sides of the river are lined with trees in the beginning on their autumnal colours the mossy edge of a substation (or some other type of utility building) roof. you can see the individual growths of the moss and it looks quite intricate. the background trees are heavily out of focus. a little cluster of mushroom (i dont know what type) nestled in some damp, dank undergrowth and fallen autumn leaves. a type of mushroom or fungus growing on a dead tree stump beside a river. there are lots of little platelets in lines around the perimeter of the trunk. there is also some standard green moss/lichen getting in on the action.

went back to #stockport yesterday for the first time in over a decade, to do some nostalgia and #photography. some nice textures there.
stockport viaduct. pure bricks. primark carpark facade. why are carparks always the most interesting buildings. puckered eggbox Alien spaceship vibes some sort of column on the boarded up woodbank hall

did a big #sheffield #photography walk today from meadowhall interchange, through concord, wincobank woods, firth park, five weirs walk and then back through town

fire exit aperture in the site gallery, sheffield. there is a little speaker mounted on the very flat wall too. heavily crackled paint on the siding of a building near the rug shop/community sauna on the wicker autumnal leaf transformation on that corner in nether edge near the mental health hospital bit? seemingly fly tipped chair and other wooden detritus, some of it burnt, in the grounds of the little church near the heeley institute

went to the national emergency services museum the other day with my nephew. pretty cool!

been in a bit of a creative funk lately but here are some more #sheffield photographs.
inside the sheffield botanical garden greenhouse. never quite captured a good picture of the roof and foliage interaction. this is getting closer to good? nice big hibiscus also inside the botanical greenhouse. i have hibiscus flowers tattooed down my ribcage to commemorate a nice holiday i had to visit my aunt on maui. industrial estate on broadfield road from the snicket heading to abbeydale road. old tarnished night safe on a building at the bottom of the moor, just behind the bus stop opposite decathlon.

alternative tramlines weekend photos.
a carousel that was on fargate semi-collapsed sign near the iron bridge next to the riverside pub clamped car near sheafbank studios. the owners of the car have since cut the clamp off. theres a weird little garage there that the car probably belongs to. it looks real shady. decathlon/st mars subway. i am fascinated by these but i really struggle to get good pictures.

went on a holiday with my partners parents down south. have been to bournemouth before but not really the wider dorset area. it is alright.
kimmeridge bay. a nice stony beach. woods near the airbnb place we all stayed at. some sort of pylon (i assume power but not sure) and corfe castle little trailer shop selling tat in swanage. sadly didnt go on the dino golf. maybe next time.

photo of the crucible sign. very sunny and not a cloud anywhere. the winter garden arches. again very sunny and zero cloud. I think it is a really beautiful structure but I have not found a way to capture it in a photo yet that i am truly happy with. its good to have projects I guess. the windows at the samuel worth chapel in the cemetry? not been in there before and its really beautiful and i would like to play there are some point. the interior is quite sparse and not what i was anticipating close-up view of the speaker stack at the Back To The Bones festival. a very pleasing array of speakers.

put some miles in today getting around. very hot.
DWP windows. very clean. good job whoever did that. the towers near uni roundabout. an old guy leaned out of the window on the furthest tower and repeatedly shouted "cocksucker" at me which seems like an overreaction. the hubs building (it was? is it still? it doesnt look open) vaguely symmetrical shot from the tramstop leading up to uni roundabout.
