It does. We moved to Florida and on to other places, and I eventually fetched up in Colorado. But I've been back a few times (the Bangor house still stands) and will be back again for the International Cryptozoology Museum conference next spring.

A fascinating example proving a mammal species can regenerate and be healthy with only a small population. (The European bison was once down to SIX. ) Of course this is a carefully managed population. We wonder about the vaquita, which may have dropped to single digits.

It is recorded that a large squid was caught alive by Danish fishermen in the 1500s and stuffed into a large cask. It was brought to my ancestor King Christian III. He had this "sea bishop" put in the moat and attempted to talk to it. Kings are not always Nobel-level scientists.
