All winter, I've fished tirelessly with the aim of catching one of the North's most iconic fish: the Arctic char. I've stood on ice through blizzards & -30 C weather, hiked into lakes hauling an auger & my fishing gear, and lost a few good lures. My hard work finally paid off last weekend:

A textbook used for instruction at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic ​Secondary School in Whitehorse containing homophobic content is being pulled from classrooms, according to a statement from the Yukon government’s cabinet communications team.

Fans of the Yukon resident annual campground permit, which allows Yukoners an entire season of camping without needing to buy daily permits, will be disappointed to learn the annual pass will not be compatible with the territory’s new campsite reservation system.

Large crowds turned up outside Whitehorse for the start of the 2024 Yukon Quest on Feb. 3 despite the relocation of the start line from Shipyards Park to Suncatchers Inn Cattery along Takhini River Road.

I recently saw a post about the recent Saudi Arabian version of "The Office." Curious, I hit Wiki and was shocked to learn that there've been many international adaptations, including one set in Quebec, another in India, and another in Chile, among other places.

A teacher-on-call who’d been working in the Whitehorse area since at least 2018 has been charged with possession of child pornography. The charge resulted from the execution of a search warrant by the RCMP on Jan. 2.

Ten years. That’s the amount of prison time 39-year-old Malakal Tuel has been sentenced to for his role in the 2019 shooting of John Papequash outside a downtown Whitehorse bar. Considering time already served, Tuel will remain behind bars for four more years.
