Dad, Magic The Gathering, D&D, IT
I’ve heard it used in Magic for things like “I was planning to play (Aggro) but after scouting the room I audibled and registered (Control) instead”

But it definitely originated from sports as far as I’m aware

Definitely going to finish watching it once I finish reading Saruman of Many Colors

I can’t go to Toronto this year, but if I could I would bring a Quiver with

1 Precon
1 Old Reliable
1 New Hotness
1 deckbox with sleeves, basics, and tokens for draft

Okay, seriously, I’ve had to drop the volume to 1, ONE! Just so it would be at a volume low enough to not carry into other rooms in the house

No sound system either, this is stock tv speakers

Sagas with Sigurd from Assassin’s Creed has been one of my all time favorite decks

I spent a lot of time in undergrad planning on going to Law school to pursue Intellectual Property law, and l pivoted away after I took an internship in a company’s IT department, where I talked to someone working on the product’s QA team who had an IP focused JD but chose not to become a lawyer

I always bring up the last two in particular when talking about broadening horizons, because I was way more excited to take the Comic course, and considered the Greco-Roman History class to check a box, but the Professors respectively made the former boring and the latter way more engaging

It’s sad that any post about Spider-Man cards needs that precursor

But yes that art absolutely rocks

Storm Herd for big tokens, Nomads’ Assembly triggers rebound since Miracle casts from your hand, and Adventures can be Miracled so you’re able to Miracle Train Troops and then drop Imodane’s Recruiter to pump and swing with all those tokens

Some other fun shenanigans

Apex of Power nets 8 Mana (Need Quandrix to explain how Lorehold got away with that discount)

And Adventures can be Miracled this way, though somewhat thankfully/Unfortunately there isn’t too much to exploit with that

I ran Elminster as a commander for the longest time (need to rebuild it for bracket 3)

The “7” starting loyalty is a nice dissuasion from attacks in and of itself. I’ve found people will swing some damage at him, but rarely the full 7 or more, so I’ve untapped with him way more than I should have
