A few ethical issues to straighten out about permission etc but this all moves ahead. I really hope we can deliver simmering relatively soon. I don’t see why not!

What you suggest could easily happen! Waadhoeke site already has Bildts content + we have working TTS models from Blizzard. Cloud Run deployment totally doable. Could be first AI-powered minority language municipal TTS service!!

This challenge, related to the Speech Synthesis Workshop @interspeech.bsky.social event, was at Campus Fryslân earlier this week and was dedicated to developing a synthetic voice for the regional language Bildts.
