Well yeah that would be optimal for the best possible mod, but it's not always feasible. It's either a passion project or you gotta go with Patreon. Selling a product or mod with someone else's IP or assets opens you up to cease and desists. Insert shocked Pikachu face meme somewhere.

I'm not suggesting they do it full time. Choosing to do something full time with an expectation of getting paid, especially mods, is not advisable. Other companies have sent cease and desists over less. I'm not saying they are benevolent in this decision but that's unfortunately the world we live in

Maybe they can just do a Patreon. All releases and updates are free, but Patreon would allow them to make money at least while providing dev updates and roadmaps. It's a lot of work, and it's gotta be sustainable somehow.

Honestly I just want more in-between just close the gap. I don't need full immersive room scale VR, just give me "flat game" ports with 3D depth like peering through a window. This could be the gateway drug to full VR experiences for a lot of people. Wider library compatibility/features would be 🔥🔥

I was looking forward to better wifi for VR streaming with less compression but with AV1 and Steam Frame's foveated streaming, anything beyond 6 feels overkill.

Have you played the Jet Set Radio world in VRChat? Grinding rails and tagging in VR is pretty incredible and works way better than I expected without being nauseating.
