I saw midnight screening of Clockwork Orange that almost turned violent mid-film. I saw Selma in Times Square. I’ve never seen an audience cry harder than at The Notebook and I’ve never heard a crowd quieter than at the end of Doom Generation.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Cory Doctorow suggested that Canada tear up the IP laws they were forced to pass to keep access to US markets and sell jailbreaking kits for US software -- third party ink! tractor repair! independent car maintenance! Don't expect it, but would be cool.

I just discovered there there is a company called Soylent who claims that they offer “The World's Most Perfect Food.” Naturally it comes in green. Why not lean into that dystopian marketing?

I'm not sure that I realized I'd been to 20 states. Even if only briefly in a couple of cases. Still have three provinces to knock off up here one of these days.
