A Democratic candidate, Bajun Mavalwalla, is trying to unseat a Trump ally. He needs as much help as he can get. Can we connect to discuss further?

It is probably better for the Democrats to not take that bait and focus on winning the midterms to just shut him down.

The fact that the current Congress looked the other way on this is revolting. Trump's allies in Congress need to be unseated. A strong candidate and veteran is trying to unseat one of them up here in Eastern Washington. He could use some help. Can we connect to discuss?

If the Senate Democrats have the leverage to potentially shut down DHS without having to shut down the rest of the government, that may not be the worst position to be in.

It remains unclear to me if this puts Democrats in a better or worse position regarding ICE and DHS funding.
The shut down leverage is a two-way street.
