I guess it is time to start making the point that the US can no longer be considered a reliable ally. Of course, it may well be that needs to change to no longer an ally if they do start illegally swiping European territory.

I guess if you were a despotic authoritarian and you had trashed your domestic economy then invading an oil rich country could be a good way of generating some new income to buy your way out of the hole you dug yourself.

Wow. The US really has sunk a long way. Kidnapping a foreign leader now a formerly great nation now ruled by a despotic thug. The US is no longer civilised.

DJT is going hard on establishing his legacy. As the last week or so in Trumpton illustrate, whatever he claims to the contrary, he is undoubtedly a skidmark on the underpants of history.

Let's be clear DJT was inciting the mob on 6th January. Shouldn't forget that because of an edit that didn't fundamentally change the story. The worst of the BBC has more integrity than the mob in the White House.

As a recently retired teacher I have to challenege Farage's latest comments which are wrong and utterly disgusting. Not that reality is something that will bother either him or those credulous to support the utter nonsense he spouts.

Looks like the PM is playing another blinder with ID cards that will, once again, fail to appease the window lickers on the right and further alienate core voters.

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.

This is a huge story.

Don't let him get away with it.

“The Trump presidency demonstrate[d] that America’s constitutional order is peculiarly susceptible to democratic erosion.” Schor, " Trumpism and the Continuing Challenges to Three Political-Constitutionalist Orthodoxies," Constitutional Studies (2021).

I think it is fair to say this still stands.

Quite the most appalling display from the two most senior figures in the American Executive. Yet I am confident they can do worse… Treacherous, untrustworthy, venal, petty; and those are just their good qualities. Wow!
Despite a vigorous start from the inhabitants of Trumpton and their counterparts here in the UK, I am convinced we are nowhere near peak moron yet.
