CEOs make positive noises about AI to make investors excited. But Larian are fully private. The CEO is the major shareholder. He *could* tell AI to eat shit. He knows AI-boosting will go down like cold sick with players. If it's not AI-brainworm, it could be an overture to a flotation or PE sale?

Dec 2004 - no game could be made for <$10m, Half Life 2 had just come out after ≈94yrs, Steam was not a thing. Pixel releases Cave Story for free, a huge love letter to Super Metroid. Just one guy making a perfect polished little thing that everybody loves. Indies have chased that ideal ever since.

Can't remember if it was this bad before COVID but I'm seeing an alarming spreading of what I'll call Airport Behavior to other public places. Obliviousness to other people's existence, ineptitude at navigating the environment. "Is this your first time at the grocery store" type stuff
