I can't tell if that all made sense, this is not a great forum for the point I'm trying to make, but put simply: I now judge people almost entirely by the actions that they support and largely ignore their labels because we no longer agree on the terms.

I think we need new terms to describe 1) your values and 2) how you expect to see them put into effect. A lot of people described as Liberals negatively are actually hypocrites to their own stated values because they don't believe in action, or are in fact not as liberal as they themselves believe.

I don't even use any labels any more to describe my politics because I've lost the thread on what any of them mean. Centrist still makes sense as the point between two extremes but a lot of liberals could easily be called progressives and I've seen "Neoliberal" used to describe opposing positions...
