Down in the basement, that's where the bass went.

The Lion King changed my life.

I had just graduated from college and had been working as soundman in punk clubs, but work dried up. I started working for a little company in rural Oregon that made puppets and props for the Broadway production. Went on to build a bunch of amazing stuff with them.

Back to the #RCTID matches with my favorite seat in the house. Great view, aisle seat, perfect for an old.

MJ Lenderman at the Rev Hall last night. A crushingly great show with support from Wild Pink. Live music is the attitude adjustment that works the very best for me.

Wild Pink, opening up the show tonight. Thinline tele with Jazzmaster pickups same color as mine. Dude, I love your taste in guitars.

Two corgis enjoying the snow.
February 14, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Snow in Portland, which means the corgis want to wrassle in it, then come back in to warm up, then go back out for more wrassle. Pictured is the wait for dad to open the door.

Snoozing. Snuggled. Corgi.

Here's a photo I took of Lucy singing on the Woods Stage at Pickathon 2017. Not relevant to your post, other than to say, "She's so damn cool and I got lucky to see her."

My G&L beast of a bass. Date of manufacture is the day Leo died. These ASATs are some of the best basses ever made.

Sounds about right.

KMRIA a week ago today. Saying goodbye (again) to local legends. So many good shows from these folks.

I like the purple metal flake exclusive finish Bass VI at Chicago Music Exchange. Been thinking of getting one. A little more expensive than the Antigua one but worth it since I dig the color

My very sleepy good boy. And his stuffy.

My man Wang Chi can handle that One Ring. He has a very positive attitude about this.

Jack White and a tidbit of "Blue Orchid" at the Revolution Hall 9/30 in Portland Oregon. We lucked into tix 2 hours before the show. I want JW's signature tele so badly and this clip shows exactly why.

My 3 doggos. Mr. Howl, Ruby, Buck Owens (l-r). My corgis have tails and my doggos have the couch.
