That said, with the amount of money these buyouts are, I'm always surprised more of them don't take a year to self-scount and consult (like Vrabel and McCarthy).

He could have worked for a good spot and if it doesn't happen then "consult" and apply for new jobs next year.

I think he knew that he wasn't going to get one of the marquee jobs. Better to coordinate in a good program and get a 2nd shot in a good organization then slide into a crappy 2nd gig where the cards are stacked against you, and never get a 3rd one.

There's like *a lot* of history education that talks about the failures of appeasement.

"SOMEBODY is going to tell the president that he's not wearing any clothes but it damn sure isn't going to be me!"

"You look great, sir!"

It's a much better version of the "kids going away to a boarding school" trope because they aren't idiot kids getting into hijinks &saving the world. The place itself is for exceptional students (who are also older), so their excellence &achievement is expected (therefore a lot more believable).

Silicon Valley being run by the VCs... Less than ideal for the rest of us.

He was so good in SoA.

It was a defining moment for me when Rick Perry was made the head of Dept of Energy after campaigning that he'd shut it down.

Dems need to embrace putting people in charge of Depts that actively hate it. Oh, you don't like my leadership and you're going to refuse to work? Oh no! What will I do?!

Many people are saying this.

That's what I was thinking, LT false starts and it doesn't even matter.

Weird watching browns doppelganger, where the D is terrible and the offense looks interesting...

After watching OSU play bowl games (away games) against USC, FL, and LSU. No thanks.

Sorry to say, it reminded me of multiple Browns short yardage attempts. Way too cute.

Big advantage to have a QB on a rookie contract. I believe this is analytics.

Needing a bye week QB and Fitzmagic is staring you in the face on waivers was a thrill ride! 🫣

Go through with it and all of a sudden find some Indiana Republican supporters for impeachment...

I had a philosophy class that very much changed the way I thought about constructing a persuasive argument and properly attaching evidence and support. So many other writing, language arts, and communications classes/units didn't do it.

This is an important point. Ask a "go to trade school" person if that's their hope/plan for *their* kids?

The trades people I knew growing up told me to go to college to get a job where I could make more$, sit comfortably, work in the air conditioning, enjoy year-round employment...
