Consistent state funding has helped cities and counties all over the state reduce the number of people living on the street. I'm glad we were able to reach an agreement with Gov. Newsom to include $600 million for homelessness in the 2025-26 budget.

This morning the California Transportation Commission approved $25 million for the new I Street Bridge -- meaning the $300 million- project is now fully funded and expected to begin construction in 2026.
