Former tech CMO/COO building a diverse portfolio of companies. Not a guru or thought expert; just sharing thoughts & ideas about business you can use.
The second is a combination of markets: part interior design, part general contracting, part home improvement.

There is a large, hungry audience online. But it is currently being served locally by small, independent producers. There isn't a trusted national brand yet.

We intend to build that.

6. Lastly, once trust is built with a homeowner in one domain/service, there are many ancillary products and services that we can offer - either directly, through other businesses we own, or through partnerships we build.

5. The human desire to simultaneously express one's taste and improve the spaces they inhabit every day will never cease.

We exist to satisfy both.

4. Home services like these are always in demand and have predictable cycles - which means there are always new customers to serve and a strong likelihood they call us again in the future when it's time to repeat the service.

Both concepts are founded on a few key insights:

1. US citizens will always invest in their largest asset: their home.
2. Older demographics with money are willing to trade it for their time.
3. Professionalism and a bit of technology works to accelerate trust, leading to higher LTV and lower CAC.

With that out of the way, I'll be sharing ideas and principles here, hopefully without being too abstract.

This will allow others to hear what is working for my businesses and apply them to their own.

With all that out of the way: what are you building? And what do you need help with?

3. "The Faux Expert" - I rarely trust anyone positioning themselves as a "thought leader."

The truth is, no one has it all figured out.

Anyone who claims to have all of the answers is lying. There are too many variables in life for certainty, and what worked in the past needs to be reexamined.

2. "#BuildInPublic Is Risky" - Unlike most indie hackers, I believe that killers move in silence.

Sharing absolutely everything I'm building and working on reduces the likelihood of success.

So this will be a curated (but valuable) account of how to build multiple businesses over the years.

1. "Not Important Enough" - This isn't imposter syndrome; I just I hate how others inflate what they're doing to make it seem like it's the most important thing ever.

I think there's a way to share ideas and inspiration with others who will find value without being overly self-promotional.

Just trying to decide when X becomes enough of a dumpster fire (and when there's enough valuable things to read on here) to switch.
