My three step plan to fix the ACC:
1. Kick out Stanford and Cal (too much travel for mediocre teams)
2. Force ND to join for football or kick them out. If they are kicked out, replace them with UConn.
3. Move the ACC Championship Game to Miami and make it a real event.

Conference championship games should be abolished. They have very little upside and potentially catastrophic downside. The Big 12 and SEC title games may well have eliminated BYU and Bama, and the ACCCG may well have eliminated the entire league.

I believe eliminating conference championship games (particularly if the @cfbplayoff.bsky.social is expanded) is the best path forward. Seems like there is very little benefit to playing the extra game and giving automatic bids to the team that finishes atop the standings is the way to go.

Every time I watch the NFL immediately after college football I’m reminded of how terrible the new NFL kickoff is.

The worst part about modern college football is the cult-like support that fans show for their conferences. League rivals will hype up each other because the perceived strength of their league matters. I miss the days of small regional leagues where traditional rivalries thrived.

The NBA Cup is so gimmicky, I just can’t get behind it. There has to be better way to ensure more interest/star power in the regular season.
