"Do the secrets part in MCP instead" is a reasonable re-arch, and I'll look at that (again) in the future, but as of February 2026, the MCP deployment+configuration is fairly miserable. I suppose you could argue it's less miserable than Keychain bludgeoning, though.

Real talk on secrets management with LLM agents: it's a mess.

I use macOS Keychain to hide the API key from the agent. The tradeoff is endless password prompts. Click "Always Allow" to stop them, and the agent can just write Python to grab the key anyway.

There's no good answer here yet.

The Agent Skill will search the FEC for the desired committee, dig through recent filings with smart sort and filtering, and then fetch the relevant filing(s) to answer your query:

It’s interesting how experiences differ. I use ChatGPT as my writing assistant more than Claude because I can reliably get more depth with it. That said, ChatGPT now has years of context of me working with it, while Claude has just a few serious months.
