Watching The Duellists this year was a nice reminder that, once upon a time, Ridley Scott knew how to make a good movie. Not exactly Spielbergian, though.

Watching The Duellists this year was a nice reminder that, once upon a time, Ridley Scott knew how to make a good movie. Not exactly Spielbergian, though.

Being in Japanese might or might not qualify them as "niche," depending on the audience, but... Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes, Swing Girls, Welcome Back Mr. McDonald, One Cut of the Dead... and House (1977) isn't *really* a comedy, but it is absurd and delightful.
