The play in a vacuum isn’t poorly designed but it’s very poorly executed. It s the sequencing of playcalling that is another issue. The eagles haven’t successfully run the ball since before Halloween. Why would the Chargers honor play action? Or, why does Jalen feel the need to pull and throw there?

Jalen should be reading the playside edge, who doesn’t crash down on the run (because they don’t respect it, shocker) so he pulls and creates that pressure himself by running right into it. The first read is Goedert on the five yard out, but the cloud coverage over top baits the throw to Dodson

No. They “said” they needed to, but they don’t have to do that to just make it a point of comparison.

Think of it as a three-part equation:
1. Drop BYU one spot to 12, now ND/Miami together
2. Move Miami one spot above ND to 10
3. Drop Alabama one spot to 10, moving Miami up one

I think if the committee dropped Alabama exactly *one* spot and put Miami at 9, this collective media outrage would be reduced by like 90%. Pointlessly keeping them at 9 is a ridiculous self-own from the committee

And now we’re going to have to hear national media discuss Alabama’s legitimate chances against Indiana in the Rose Bowl

Your job is what your boss demands, and I think ESPN (which broadcasted six of the nine conference championship games this weekend) is their boss, so…

My other suggestion is the committee throws their hands up and puts in Texas over all of them
December 6, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Committee will drop Alabama exactly in between Notre Dame and Miami to prevent the head-to-head argument and keep the canes out
December 6, 2025 at 11:47 PM
This would be a 3-point game if North Texas didn’t get jobbed by the refs on that pick 6!

Yeah the more I think about this, it probably ends with Denny Hamlin and friends racing 2016 Cup cars at IRP and Nashville Fairgrounds in the LIV “good ole boys” league while Lawless Alan and a dozen other 19 year olds pay to wreck Hendrick cars in the Daytona 500 on Netflix

Penske has his hands in most of American racing, so the assumption here is that unless he sides with NASCAR and gets a company line to not negotiate with terrorists, he won’t turn down petro money to be the Daytona 500 of LIVCAR

Indianapolis is owned by Penske racing so you’d have to assume that goes with whatever side he takes. I used to have a spreadsheet with all the track owners as that will be a very contentious split. No idea what my home track Pocono would do.
