Remembering D'Angelo today. Not many albums are as sultry as BROWN SUGAR... from its very opening, which truly sets the tone. Crazy to think he only released three studio albums but left such a huge mark on R&B music.

I revisited "BRIGITTE FONTAINE EST...FOLLE!" yesterday. Such a fun + diverse exploration of the bounds of the French chanson! Definitely a more approachable entry point into the world of Brigitte Fontaine, but still foreshadows her later, more radical work.
