It’s not at all clear to me how the BBC can do any kind of serious journalism if its top two bosses can be forced to quit over such an obviously confected scandal. There is no substantive error here. How can the BBC report on Trump, or Farage, or anyone else, in these circumstances?

There's a new cycle-path-each-side I use for commuting in Nottingham and I loathe it for those reasons: the downhill one is useless and takes random diversions (so I just use the road), and the uphill path is a hazard with some wrongly thinking it's two-way.

Makes me concerned for the vulnerability of archaeological sites. E.g. lots of known villas with documented mosaics in unobserved rural locations that are probably quite susceptible to a bit of theft to order.

Ultimately, this just highlights the flaw with the East Midlands Combined County Authority. It should be scrapped and replaced with a mayor focused on the twin cities of Nottingham and Derby, otherwise, they’ll always be held back by their large and geographically removed northern districts.

The point she makes about poor transport links in the more northern and rural reaches EMCCA area are absolutely correct, but why does she have to constantly frame things like this as city vs town / village thing?
