The secret weapon is one of those old Fender tube reverb tanks in front of the amp. I don't have one of those, so I make due with an IR capture of one. 😅
Other than that, a scooped-mids guitar tone. Honestly, if you can use it for metal, it will probably work for surf. Just add too much reverb.
