Happy New Year everyone!
If your New Year's resolution was to read more books, or learn more stuff, then my book 100 BIBLE FILMS might be just the ticket.
It's wide-ranging, easy to read & beautifully illustrated. It also won an academic choice award.
Hope you have a smashing 2025!

Yeah, I’m going to take some persuading that AI uses them in a higher proportion than most writers have historically, but sadly now this has become a thing people “know” it makes them feel smart to act upon it.

Don't think I've seen this before, though I've long been suspicious of the often-made-claim that early audiences (pluralj ran out of the theatres .

I'm currently watching BLOOD FEUD with Loren and Marcello Mastroianni which might give it a good run for its money.

I think you might find it describes the physical aspects of the photo, but not its significance. It might give you “3 older men sitting on chairs” but won’t mention that it’s Churchill, Stalin & FDR or be able to interpret subtleties in position, stance, eye direction etc.

It looks properly wild, and I am here for it.

That's a great list. I think I'd have Blackadder further up and add Red Dwarf, but The Good Life and Reggie Perrin would be up there too.

A particularly tough call for those of us heavily invested in Italian movies. We're split three (if not four) ways. At best can only watch a third of PAISÀ.

I suppose Cinecittà is in B so for volume, if nothing else, I might go for that, but it has the worst other countries, so it's a tough call.

It strikes me that the last three could, in theory, be done altogether
