There is zero chance the ALP will do anything to support the industry as any kind of tax or quota on streamers will face a nuclear reprisal from the US and they're all out of ideas. Sorry to be a bummer.

we're in our 3rd poor year of work and narrative shoots are shorter with even tighter budgets and more willingness to cut corners. 12 week shoots are now 4 week shoots. Streamers have literally no incentive to produce local content (besides Stan), the ABC is MIA.

The most insidiously evil show on television, resolutely status quo and mocked anyone that pushed for anything better. I'd say good riddance but they'll inevitably replace it with something worse

I'm curious as to why the AJP haven't run a candidate. The rest of the ballot is heavily weighted to far right wing candidates all of whom will obvs preference the greens last.

unfortunately all the other candidates are somehow even shittier than the ALP - one nation, libertarian party and JB Myers (google him ugh). Animal Justice Party sat this one out for some reason 🤔 ... normally their preferences flow strongly to the Greens
