Still shocked that "Llorando" (Crying) didn't make #xpncountdown, esp given that Rebekah del Rio died so recently...

Hi. What about:
There's No Way Out of Here- Gilmour

Please... Let Me Get What I Want - Dream Academy

Llorando - del Rio

Thanks Kallao! I enjoyed your (borderline snarky) remarks while hosting, especially when related to various cabals

To paraphrase Meat Loaf, 4 out of 5 ain't bad. #xpncountdown

2 - much less filler than on 1, which I eventually bought (but never liked nearly as much). And "14 Years" is so underrated

I wish it had been immediately followed by "Llorando" #xpncountdown

Happy about Trapped, my #3 but 97 seems about right objectively #xpncountdown

Because most people didn't realize Elvis' version also was a cover. Same problem with Marvin Gaye's "Grapevine" and many others. #xpncountdown

P.S.: I disagree that FYC's version is horrible, though I didn't vote for it either

The "most obvious" being my prediction for this Top Five of the upcoming #xpncountdown:
1. All Along the Watchtower - Hendrix
2. Hallelujah - Buckley
3. Respect - Aretha
4. Hurt - Johnny Cash
5. Nothing Compares 2U - Sinead

Do I win a prize if correct? @wxpnfm.bsky.social

Now checking off my ## 2, 4, 8 & 9
"Locks" for Top 100: #3, 5, 10
Not feeling so great about my #1, 6, 7.

Now that we're into the Top 120, beginning to wonder if 3 of my picks won't actually make the #xpncountdown:
-Llorando
-Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want
-There's No Way Out of Here
Maybe an over/under of 2?

A damn shame being this low. Was my #2. #xpncountdown

This Joan Osborne version was one of my Elevens - glad it made the Top 200 #xpncountdown
December 10, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Definitely one of those two (see my pinned post)
December 10, 2025 at 7:19 PM
And "Jack-Ass" probably is my favorite Beck song
December 10, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Trapped?
December 10, 2025 at 4:29 PM
Yep. In terms of covers by the Killers, swap its spot on #xpncountdown with their "Shadowplay"
December 10, 2025 at 3:36 PM
With David Byrne on guitar, FYI

Both versions of "Alone Again Or," which I definitely recognized (esp. The Damned version) but didn't really "know" until the #xpncountdown. And I liked the way Calexico emphasized the Latin flavor of the song.
