@gruber.foo Apple’s acquiescence to Trump is to avoid tariffs, but they are the company most-equipped to fight the illegality of these arbitrary tariffs in court. They could win a huge victory for everyone. Instead, they are cowering in fear and letting their customers, and the whole country, down.

@gruber.foo Apple’s AI example mentioned a “pizza sandwich” from Court Street Grocers in Brooklyn. I’d never heard of them having such a sandwich. I asked them, and it seems like this was an AI hallucination. Not a compelling demo!

@gruber.foo TikTokers are already warning iPhone users to turn off automatic software updates for fear of losing the app. And if someone is a content *creator* who makes their living via TikTok, putting off a physical phone upgrade to keep their job is a very rational choice.
