I quite liked this movie but idk if its just me but i fucking hate this version of Lex, hes so stupid and I just dont think Lex would EVER say that he feels jelous at all

I remember I spent like 5 hours farming so I could even do damage to the 2nd boss in the game, finally killed it, and the very next area had about 5 guys in the first room, all of which 1 shot me and had more health than the boss did, fuck those games

yea this is more so just that smaller, low budget indie games need their own thing, not really E33's fault but I do get why it feels bad

saying that, I agree that "smaller" games need more room to shine, a different category for indie games under x budget would be nice

it fits every other definition of an indie game, if the guy who made the studio happened to be a billionaire it would be the same thing, I dont think budget should be taken into account when deciding if something is indie or not, it was indiependant

mean it wouldnt be fair to be included AS an indie game, some AAA games have lower budgets and smaller dev teams, getting nominated at all is a hell of an achievement, and yea maybe if they also had a bigger budget they could have won but thats just how life goes

it was a game made by 30 people who got lucky and got a large fund from something specifically made to fund indie games while also not being controlled by them at all, I get that it feels kinda shitty but silksong is also indie and is far better than a lot of other indie games but that doesnt -

its not owned by a publisher and was made by 30 people, thats 100% indie, its just a very good game

I was really worried when i saw that they had 0 defensive abilities outside of a heal, but honestly its just not been an issue, everything gets cc'd by heat procs and dies before it can hit me, the new melee freezing arcane is great on him for dealing with acolytes too

thats what i mean when i said its disingenuous, like yes, on the surface you can say "well games have cost the same for 20 years" but that just isnt actually true and theres no way that person didnt know this, like claiming the ps3 costs the same back then as a ps5 does now, you know thats not true

the games themselves are 60 but they also started to add delux editions, day 1 dlc, pre-order bonus's, season passes, microtransactions, in 2007 if you spent $60 on a game you got the game, in 2020 if you spent $60 on a game you got the right to spend another $15 on skins and season passes

that was the launch price, the price that they walked back on bc it was extremely overpriced and caused the ps3 to sell poorly on release, the xbox 360 was much cheaper than that

also consoles are more expensive, paying to play online is now on every console, yearly subscriptions to this that and the other, loads of games need constant internet access and internet has gotten more expensive etc

to say games have been $60 for 20 years is extremely disingenuous, the base price of these games has been, but games lock off a load of their content behind extra paywalls now
