my playstation exclusive catch-up continued this month with GOD OF WAR (2018)

pretty damn great I have to say - took a while for the combat and rpg elements to click for me, but once it did it was a lot of fun

narrative was pretty strong (hoping it delivers even more in ragnarok)

NOSFERATU had basically everything I wanted in a robert eggers film: unparalleled usage of atmosphere, outrageous commitment to the bit, plentiful bodily fluids and willem dafoe babbling manically about folklore

first watch of the holdovers since LFF in 2023 and watching alongside the family with the xmas decs up feels like the true way to experience it

without a doubt a new christmas classic for me - destined to be an annual tradition going forward

in case you needed a hint as to what my fav film soundtrack of the year is....😂
