I have plenty of things on my to-do list, that's not the problem. The sudden removal of things that I've been putting 100% of my focus on for the past couple months is disorienting.

The #1 reason I laminate my stickers is durability- UV and scratches.
Seems very durable in my initial assessment. I'll have to stick one out in the sunlight to see how well the UV protection holds up vs the old laminate.

It's not as smooth- but that comes with pros as well as cons.
Con- the "grain" catches the light a little bit. Not horrible, but I buy MATTE laminate for a reason. It minorly effects the visibility of the design.
Pro- less susceptible to finger prints. Application is easier.
