No, I think he just gets worried when it's that bad, it's not usually that out of control but that dough was being awful. It was also the sixth type of cookie over the past two days. Scotch is reviving me.

I love Ivanhoe, I think I have two different versions of the novel. Once you get past the first two chapters, it goes pretty quickly.
