I assumed the “only some” was them covering themselves for developers who don’t check their games to ensure the automated compatibility works. Probably some games will need patches, but won’t get them.

It’s an interesting way to categorize. I don’t think it’s the only way you can break down games, but it’s a novel idea that’s good for inspiring a new perspective.
