@johncreedon.bsky.social Creedo, sorry for disseminating fake news on your show yesterday. Turns out Moby, aka Richard (Dick) Melville Hall, was told by his parents that Herman Melville was his great-great-great uncle. But turnsout thats a family “whale tale” and in actuality there is no relation.

@johncreedon.bsky.social the all-knowing JC! You’re probably aware but Moby got his name from Moby-Dick. Herman Melville is his great-great g-pa, or some distant ancestor, and his parents called him Moby as a nickname. I just started reading the behemoth and got to wondering about Moby the artist
