Geometry-driven deformation produces short-range U-fibers around the central sulcus; with realistic curvature and organization; again without any diffusion data.

This suggests cortical folding provides a powerful anatomical prior for white-matter organization and tractography.

How does this work?

Starting from a smooth, fetal-like cortex, we place simple radial fibers — then let cortical folding simulation do the rest.
