And again, you're clearly implying that you take the Bible literally. Only someone who takes it literally would treat what's in it as actual events in history would make the arguments that you're trying to make.

Because you're actually acting like a MAGA fundie. And on top of changing the subject when confronted with evidence that contradicts your out of context use of a specific part of the Bible, you make assumptions based on no evidence. Also, only fundies refer to Jesus as yeshua.

I'm trying to figure out why a MAGA fundie like you is on bluesky. First you're treating the Bible as if it's literally true, then taking biblical verses out of context to fit some delusional agenda, and when it's proven that you did take it out of context, you change the subject. 100%MAGA behavior

It's a rhetorical device used by the authors of the gospels that was common at the time. The only way anyone could see this as "racist" is if they took the Bible 100% literally.
