It's been some time, so I'm going to introduce myself again, and make it a thread (and hopefully pin it too, so it won't dissapear) because a single post can't really explain who I am.

I don’t know who may need to hear this, but:
Not every story needs to adhere to The Hero’s Journey template, which is not, in fact, universal, and the quality/value of a story shouldn’t be judged by how successfully it follows that template.
