The fix was simple once I found it 🔧
➡️ Go to Google cloud
➡️ Create a new project
➡️ Choose Individual instead of Organization
➡️ Create a new Billing Account in Google Cloud using that profile

If your Google Cloud billing profile is set to Organization / Business, Google legally assumes you’re a company and requires a VAT or tax ID (especially in the EU).
That’s why you can’t proceed without filling in that field.

Things I already tried:
✅ Switched to an Individual payments profile
✅ Created a new billing account
✅ Tried new browser and Google account
Still can’t get past the VAT step 😩

Every time I try to enable Maps SDK for Android or iOS, it blocks me on the “Tax information required” screen.
Even if I choose Individual as my account type, there’s no option to skip VAT — and I don’t have one.
