No fighting in the Jobs War Room

I am tempted to say it is a priority for Ottawa in any security crisis to keep close tabs on Rutte and make *absolutely sure* that he is on the same page as us and does *not* promise or imply any concessions to Trump that we are unwilling to offer.

The tariffs he’s talking about are basically everything we could conceivably do to them anyways, so…okay I guess.

Resolution wasn’t on the table but temporarily delaying a North Atlantic naval confrontation was

I would advise you to have the most blatantly racist passages of Jake Tapper's "Gangbanging in Media Land" article close at hand and be prepared to read it back to him verbatim on air the next time he tries to eyeroll you

I would advise you to, when Dana Bash asks you about the latest ridiculous statement that donald trump made, turn the question back around and ask her if it sounded to her like trump was "growing into the kind of leader we need right now"

I would advise you to remind people at every opportunity that Katilin Collins is homophobic Alabama white trash and the only news story she wrote of consequence before CNN hired her was ranking Syrian refugees by fuckability when she worked for Tucker Carlson

To quote one of my friends: “When a monkey crashes your car for the second time in a day, you don’t get to yell at the monkey”

I maintain to this day they never should have done that

At a certain point we can’t keep ignoring the contradictions of operating a system of baronism beneath the veneer of a modern bureaucratic state.

Maybe a national grid isn’t the specific hill to die on, but ultimately Canada has to decide whether or not it wants to be a country.

After watching the NDP fail to make the housing crisis the number one or two plank of their platform seeing them to capitalize on this moment is not at all surprising. The rot runs deep and it will take more than a new leader to fix it

They can and will lose critical seats to the NDP if they go too hard. Alberta meanwhile is basically a national security situation at this point.

I don’t think a pipeline solves anything. Ask Trudeau how much goodwill the last one got him.

I think the MOU was roughly about as much effort as the government should throw in that direction. Going further risks alienating their BC supporters in exchange for continued fart noises from the prairies

The article was very clear that this was sold as a speculative contingency plan from within the forces.

Evidence is quickly coming together that the Alberta separatists are coordinating with US officials to do make Alberta their Donbass, and the federal government’s main achievement last week was an investment deal with Qatar. No sense of panic there either.

I don’t think the CAF is planning an Afghanistan style insurgency, I suspect concern has been percolating up the lower ranks and the brass let someone throw together a scenario to mollify them. There’s no indication they are panicking at all.

Yes. I don’t know what the Harris campaign has to do with the last federal election. Poilievre collapsed largely over his association with Trump, not because the Liberals suddenly became very credible on cost of living issues

Yes.

What does this have to do with anything
