You were correct

I think that was the inspiration for Plastic Man No More (which I have my own problems with). I loved how much play Plas got in this run of JLA, but I kinda hated how deeply misinterpreted he was. As you said, no one was laughing with him, they were annoyed by the trying-to-be funny creep.
