So this happened. A first for me. Envelope showed up with a stamp from USPS reading ‘received without content’ and the tear in the back makes it obvious card was stolen in USPS custody. Anyone else ever have this happen?

Given that the 56 set does not have all stars nor playoffs, I created my own. Very happy with these designs.

I then binder the teams in order of finish and include the players from that season, not necessarily the team shown by topps as they update moves. The first page of each team are the starters.

I view sets as a history of the season before (ie 77 topps represent the 76 season). For the binder I first page up the all star starters and then playoffs, leaders etc.

Never truly imagined I’d ever have this. Dream set for sure. My favorite of all time. Got a great deal. Set minus most HOF, of which I have 5 of top 8 value wise. I’m not grading this but most are 5/6. Incredible. So so happy with this. Needs sound.

So happy that one of my all-time favorites and one of the few true baseball gods of my youth is now in the Hall of Fame. How great for him. Here are a few favorite cobra items I own.

What has always intrigued me about 79, though is that as not so great as I think the base is, I think the all star cards that year are some of their best.
