A real vision for the economy would start shifting away from our addiction to exports by sharply increasing public investment at home, raising wages, and therefore stimulate demand in the single market to create an economy where Europeans can afford more in their *own* domestic market.

This problem is compounded by the fact that the services industry is a highly productive sector of the economy.
