Shetland is the only thing I watch on the BBC. Amazing place for those of us who love birds and wildlife. Love to live there.

I used to gently scold Mum for saying it was a relief to be old. She felt she had seen enough. I woke this morning knowing exactly how she felt. I avoid the news most days now.

In best polar explorer tradition made it to Waitrose for chicken and fish for Dylan. Snow mostly gone but very cold and icy here. Keep warm and safe in Kent.
