@mayansanity.bsky.social
just some guy, now with lazy self portrait. Image Analyst of sorts. I was in the room where it happened, just not when it happened.

I'm worried I dont have social skills.

ask me about space, place, or photography?
when i was in high school, other people, not me, other people, would use them to make a sort of large marijuana ciggarette they called a "blunt"

Didnt that one fraud guy make his staff take it because he felt the side effect of compulsive gambling would increase their risk tolerance and make them better investors?

probably something proposed. there was a now defunct instrument that was used to detect the presence of sunspots on the far side, though its name escapes me
December 1, 2025 at 3:23 PM
i keep telling people: look at f9/starlink, then look at dc-x/brilliant pebbles, then look at f9/starlink again
December 1, 2025 at 1:58 PM
the pitch is the BP component of SDI. which fits because the whole F9/Starlink program is just BP if you squint at it.
December 1, 2025 at 1:53 PM
not really. the back of the sun is pretty much unobserved due to the expense and difficulty of send a satellite so far from earth. indeed, until this year we'd never imaged the sun's polar regions
December 1, 2025 at 1:31 PM
okay, so you might have noticed the extra aurora this year. at any rate, sunspots are associated with increased solar activity that can effect us on earth. some of them are pretty big this year and a look atthe far side of the sun can give us a sort of early warning of this geomagnetic storms

November 26, 2025 at 6:51 PM
But you might give Prey(2022) an Emmy. Because it was released originally for Home Media
November 26, 2025 at 6:50 PM
Streaming is television. Prey got an Emmy
November 26, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Television has their own awards, the Emmys. You wouldn't give The Godfather a Tony, right?
November 26, 2025 at 6:35 PM
They're called the Emmy Awards
