Lived an amazing life. Started painting during the reign of Louis XVI, then painted for the French Revolutionaries (Death of Marat) and Napoleon (Coronation of Napoleon). A talent not only in art but in survival!

I think someone showed him the 1913 newsreel of the day the Los Angeles Aqueduct opened. Large "faucets" were opened to release the water from the Owens Valley in NorCal into the Los Angeles. The water still flows. It's never been stopped.
